Mrs. Hoover's newcomer groups have been learning all about the five senses. They have been reading books and playing games to show what they know! They even got to use their sense of taste to try some foods that were sweet, salty, sour, and bitter!

Mrs. S. Nicholson’s first grade class learned about elections and voting and held the Great Cookie Election in their classroom - Oreo vs. Chocolate Chip. Oreo was the winner! Next it was onto Oreo tasting, data collecting, graph making and analyzing the data to see which Oreo was the favorite in their class. Birthday Cake Oreos won the election! Their bellies were happy and their brains were full of knowledge.

Mrs. Dillon's class, along with all 3rd graders this week, have shown progress in learning their multiplication and related division facts, by creating Terrific Turkeys! Our class practiced creating the multiples of 8, shown on the index cards, and then chose facts to write on the feathers. Our hallway is full of turkeys who have multiplied this week! There are so many! Our Turkeys ask everyone to please, please--Eat More Pizza this November!
