
Hello Panthers!! Read Across America Week is coming and our theme is Peace/Love/Read!! The festivities will begin THIS Friday, March 1st and the bulk of the fun will happen during the week of March 4th-7th!! Here is a list of the events that are coming your way:
Monday: Dream of Reading - Wear pajamas
Tuesday: Book Character Day - Dress like a book character.
Wednesday: Reading Makes You Brighter - Wear Tie Dye or Bright colors
Thursday: Thoughtful Thursday - wear a shirt with a positive message

It's book fair time!! Sycamore Park Library will host the Scholastic Book Fair beginning Thursday, February 29 and ending Thursday, March 7! Students will begin visiting during their regular library resource time. To avoid kids having to keep up with cash, be sure to set up an ewallet for your student before they visit! NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:
The Culpeper County School Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed fiscal 2025 budget for Culpeper County Public Schools on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the County Administration Office, 302 N. Main Street. Parents and citizens are encouraged to provide input regarding their views of the educational needs of our students and priorities of our school division.
The School Board believes strongly that community input is vital to the budget process. All concerned Culpeper County citizens are encouraged to attend the School Budget Public Hearing.

The students in Mrs. Boyd’s class have been learning about light and shadows. Today they took their groundhog puppets outside and found their shadows. They had fun in the sun making and tracing each other’s shadows. #atthepark

Children in Mrs. Bridges’ class are studying buildings. They made building signs, explored construction toys, built buildings and made a house for the 3 little pigs. #atthepark

Ms. Sain’s reading class is finishing up a Reading unit all about different animals, the ecosystems they live in, and how they protect themselves. Students started researching an endangered animal they chose and are putting together a google slide presentation to share with their classmates. The students are learning about the animals appearance, diet, and ecosystems as well as reasons as to why they are endangered and some things we can do to help their populations grow!

As part of our 100th day of school celebration last week, Ms. Groene's class made bracelets with 100 beads and made a 100 snack! #atthepark

Mrs. Wang's class has been leaning about Virginia state symbols. The cardinal is the state's bird. There have also been flex seat days where reading students can read anywhere in the room!
