Effective July 1, 2024, Nolan Jeffries will join the Culpeper Middle School (CMS) administrative team as Assistant Principal. He replaces Keith Slezak who will be transferring to Yowell Elementary School.
Jeffries brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to student success to his new role. He has dedicated 22 years to the field of education, with a diverse background that includes serving as Dean of Students for Luray and Springfield Elementary Schools in Page County for 2 years, teaching Health & Physical Education for 14 years at Luray Middle School, Luray High School, and Norfolk City Schools. He has also served as an Alternative Education Teacher and a Special Education teacher for 4 years in Page County Public Schools. In addition to teaching, Jeffries coached football for 20 years at Luray High School in Page County, seven years as Varsity Coach and 13 years as Assistant and JV Coach.
Jeffries holds a B.A. in Education from Emory & Henry College and an M.A. in Instructional Leadership & Supervision from James Madison University. He holds a Virginia license in the areas of Driver Education, Health & Physical Education PreK-12, Specific Learning Disabilities K-12, and Administration and Supervision PreK-12.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jeffries is an active member of the community. He is a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Luray, VA. He is married to Jenny, who is the Supervisor of Nutritional Services at Page County Public Schools. They have a 14-year-old son named C.J. and a Labradoodle named Dexter. In his personal time, he enjoys playing golf, working out, watching sports, spending quality time with his family, and grilling.
When asked about his new position at CMS, Jeffries said, "I am thrilled to join the Culpeper County Public Schools’ team. I am looking forward to nurturing relationships within the school community and supporting the continued success of Culpeper Middle School."
