Assistant Principals


 Jesse Blackburn

Jesse Blackburn became an Assistant Principal of Culpeper Middle School in 2014. He earned his undergraduate in Interdisciplinary Studies from Virginia Tech in 2000. Mr. Blackburn began his teaching career in Prince William County where he taught civics and science. In 2006, he moved to Stafford County where he taught physical science. In 2010, Mr. Blackburn earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

 Mandi Dillon

Mandi Dillon became Assistant Principal of Culpeper Middle School in 2014. She earned her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Integrative Studies in 2005 and her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Mary Washington in 2007. In 2012, she returned to UMW to obtain an Educational Leadership Certificate in School Administration. Prior to this position, she was an elementary teacher for Culpeper County Public Schools in Kindergarten, First and Fifth grades. When she is not working, Mrs. Dillon enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.

R. Wootten

Renee Wootten became Assistant Principal at Culpeper Middle in 2017.  She earned her BA and Master of Teaching degrees from the University of Virginia in 1992.  In 2003, she earned her Post-Master’s Certificate for Principals and Supervisors from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She began her career in education as an elementary school teacher working in both Orange and Spotsylvania Public Schools.  Prior to coming to CMS, she worked as an administrator in Culpeper and Orange counties.  In addition to working, Mrs. Wootten enjoys spending time with her three daughters.
